Dr. Joan Lurie is a retired physicist, a remote sensing scientist and a lifelong Zionist. She represents the International Council of Jewish Women (ICJW) at the United Nations, and is the co-chair of the informal caucus of Jewish NGOs, where Dr. Lurie helped focus the caucus on a project to stop UNRWA from teaching Palestinian children Jew-hatred and to become martyrs by murdering Jews.
