Michael Shahkoohi
Michael Shahkoohi is a Persian Jewish community leader, prominent businessman, Israel Bonds honoree, and extremely knowledgeable, long term ZOA Coalition activist. Michael is VP of the Executive Board of the Sephardic Heritage Alliance, Inc. (SHAI), advancing Jewish cultural heritage. When Michael speaks, good things suddenly seem to happen. At a recent Israel Bonds event where Michael and his wife Orli (also a ZOA Coalition candidate) were honored, Michael condemned City University of New York's faculty and professional staff union (PSC-CUNY) for narrowly passing an anti-Israel divestment resolution the previous week. A few days later, PSC-CUNY rescinded the resolution! Michael is also in the hearts of the singles who he helped become happy couples, starting new Jewish families together - a truly great mitzvah.
