128 Years of Fighting For Israel

Since Day One – We were there in 1897 at the First Zionist Congress, fighting for the Jewish future.

Legalize It – In 1919, we secured international recognition for Jewish settlement in Israel.

Boycotts? Not on Our Watch. – We led the battle that forced leftwing groups to end their boycott of Jews in Judea and Samaria.

Jewish Lives First. Always. – We made rescuing endangered Jewish communities a top priority in the WZC budget.

Know Your Rights. Own Your Land. – We got the WZO to teach the world about the San Remo Resolution and Israel’s legal claim.

Sovereignty Is Non-Negotiable. – We pushed for Israel to claim the Jordan Valley and protect Jewish heritage sites.

Judea and Samaria. Say It. – We erased the false term "West Bank" and reinstated our history.

Turn Boycotts into Buy-cotts. – We flipped the script, launching a global movement to promote Israeli products.

Antisemitism? We Fight Back. – When Jews were attacked in NY, others stayed silent. We took to the streets.

Alone But Unstoppable. – In 2019, we were the only slate to fight for keeping anti-Zionism labeled as antisemitism.

Jewish Students Deserve Protection. – We forced universities to take action. No more excuses.

Call Out the Lies. Crush the Terror. – We led the charge to expose the PA’s “pay-to-slay” terror funding.

No Terrorist Takeovers. – We blocked attempts to let the PA take control of Gaza.

UNRWA = Terror. – We demanded its dismantling after its employees joined Hamas on October 7.

The Red Cross Failed the Hostages. – We made sure the world knew and demanded action.

The UN is Broken. – We called out its anti-Israel bias and refusal to condemn Hamas atrocities.

Aliyah is Our Future. – We pushed for stronger support for Jews returning home.

No Jew Left Behind. – We fought for emergency Aliyah for Jews in crisis zones.

Iran Funds Terror. We Hold Them Accountable. – We called out Tehran for its role in October 7.

No Hamas. No Jihad. No Terror. – We backed Israel’s mission to wipe them out.

Honor. Respect. Strength. – We stand with IDF heroes, displaced families, and hostages until every last one is home.

Why Is the ZOA Coalition slate different from other slates?

What are some of the ways ZOA Coalition has been helping Israel, Israeli soldiers and displaced Israelis since October 7, 2023?

Organizations and candidates in the ZOA Coalition raised over $50 million to provide equipment and assistance to Israeli soldiers and displaced Israelis.

ZOA Coalition worked closely with the World Zionist Organization to find empty apartments owned by Jews in the Diaspora, to lend to Israeli families displaced by Hezbollah rocket barrages in northern Israel and Hamas’ attacks in southern Israel.

ZOA Coalition has been at the forefront of efforts to combat the lies being spread about Israel in the media and on campuses, appearing on television multiple times per week and constantly appearing in the press.

ZOA Coalition has had numerous meetings with Congress and government officials, working to end Biden’s partial arms embargo of Israel and assure support for Israel’s war efforts.
ZOA Coalition actively opposed Biden’s “day after” plans for the Palestinian Authority to govern Gaza in the media and in Congress – including by pointing out that the PA still incites and pays terrorists to murder Jews, and Fatah participated in the October 7 atrocities.

ZOA Coalition condemned UNRWA and actively campaigned for dismantling UNRWA, including by passing resolutions supporting this at the World Zionist Congress’ Zionist General Council; and via media efforts and educating public officials.

What are some of the ZOA Coalition’s accomplishments?

Others Just Make Promises.  ZOA Coalition Acts – and Wins.

Since Day One. ZOA was the only American group at the First Zionist Congress in 1897, helping to lay the foundation for re-establishing the Jewish state.

Legal Rights. Post WW I, ZOA helped secure the Jewish people’s right to settle and reconstitute the Jewish homeland in Israel under binding international law.
Boycotts? Not on Our Watch. ZOA Coalition led the World Zionist Congress battle that forced leftwing Jewish groups to end their boycotts of Judea and Samaria Jewish products.

Jewish Lives Matter.  ZOA Coalition made rescuing endangered Jewish communities a top priority at the WZC.

Investing in Judea-Samaria.  ZOA Coalition placed leadership in Israel’s national institutions to fund security assistance projects in Judea-Samaria.

ZOA Coalition Initiated Virtually Every Recent Positive Successful Resolution at the World Zionist Congress.  Including these:

Teaching Our Rights.  Established WZO programs to teach the world about the San Remo Resolution and Israel’s legal rights to her land.

Sovereignty.  Called for Israel’s government to declare its rightful sovereignty over the Jordan Valley.

Judea and Samaria. Say Its Name.  No more using the false term "West Bank" at the WZO and WZC!

Turn Boycotts into Buy-cotts.  We flipped the script, to promote Israeli products.

Demanding Universities Protect Jewish Students.

Condemning PA Terror.  Condemned the PA’s “pay-to-slay” terror funding.

No Terrorist Takeovers.  Opposed PA control of Gaza.

UNRWA = Terror. Condemned and called for dismantling UNRWA - the UN organization that teaches Palestinian Arabs to hate and attack Jews, and whose employees participated in the October 7 atrocities.

The Red Cross Failed the Hostages. Publicly condemned the Red Cross’ unconscionable failures.

Telling the UN to Stop Denying Jewish Heritage Sites.Condemned UNESCO for denying the Jewish people’s connection to Jewish sites in Jerusalem and Hebron.

Strengthening Aliyah.  Stronger support for Jews returning home. And emergency Aliyah for Jews in crisis zones.

Condemning the Head of the Terror Snake. Condemned Iran’s role in the October 7 atrocities and called for holding Iran accountable;

No Hamas. No Jihad. No Terror. Backed Israel’s mission to wipe out Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.  And to assure they can never attack Jews again.  And to rescue and bring our hostages home.

Honor. Respect. Strength. – Standing with IDF heroes, displaced families, and hostages until every last one is home.

ZOA Coalition Fights for the Jewish People in the U.S.  Others Didn’t Show Up

Antisemitism - We Fight Back.  When Jews were attacked in New York, others stayed silent.  ZOA Coalition protested at City Hall. And in the streets. And at Amnesty International.  And ZOA Coalition showed up in court again and again to make sure anti-Jewish hate crimes perpetrators were brought to justice.

Championing Civil Rights for Jewish students.  ZOA initiated and fought the successful battle to apply U.S. Civil Rights Act protections to Jewish students.  And we’ve fought case after case to help and protect Jewish students.

Alone But Unstoppable.  In 2019, at the AZM, we were the only slate to fight to continue labeling anti-Zionism as antisemitism.

ZOA Coalition makes history. Vote for ZOA Coalition – Slate 15.

The ZOA was the only American group at the very first World Zionist Congress in Basel, Switzerland, in 1897, where we helped to lay the foundation for the re-establishment of the Jewish state.

In 1919, the ZOA, along with the World Zionist Organization and Russian Zionist Federation, were the three international Jewish groups that presented the Jewish people’s proposals at the Paris Peace Conference, which led to the creation of the mandate guaranteeing the Jewish people’s international legal right to settle and reconstitute the Jewish homeland in Israel.

ZOA Coalition placed leadership in Israel’s national institutions that directed KKL funds to  security assistance and other projects in Judea-Samaria.

In 2015-16, ZOA Coalition initiated and led the difficult, successful two-year battle to pass an anti-BDS resolution that encompassed stopping boycotts against Jews living in Jerusalem, and in Judea and Samaria.  Others told us that we couldn’t succeed, but we prevailed!  As a result, leftwing groups in the World Zionist Congress had to end their boycotts against fellow Jews in Judea Samaria; and worldwide efforts against BDS were strengthened.

In keeping with ZOA Coalition’s overarching concern for the safety of every Jew, the ZOA Coalition initiated and obtained passage of resolutions giving highest funding priority to rescuing and bringing to Israel Jews and Jewish communities who are endangered by global and local antisemitism.

The ZOA Coalition works hard to spread the truth about the Jewish people’s rights to the Land of Israel – including Judea-Samaria.  For instance, the ZOA Coalition initiated and obtained passage of a resolution to establish a worldwide WZO program to teach about the 1920 San Remo Resolution, one of the key international agreements that guarantees the Jewish people’s legal right to settle and re-establish the Jewish homeland.

In the same vein, the ZOA Coalition initiated and obtained passage of resolutions calling on Israel’s government to exercise its rightful sovereignty over the Jordan Valley, and condemning UNESCO for denying the Jewish people’s connection to Jewish sites in Jerusalem and Hebron.

Names and language are exceedingly important in the battles for hearts and minds. Thus, the ZOA Coalition initiated and obtained passage of the resolution requiring the use of the proper names “Judea and Samaria,” instead of the de-Judaized name “West Bank.”  We make it clear that Judea-Samaria is historic, lawful Jewish land, not “occupied Palestinian territory.”

ZOA Coalition has been continuing our battle against anti-Israel boycotts.  For instance, ZOA Coalition initiated and obtained passage of a resolution establishing a program to encourage buying Israeli products via a positive “Buy-cott”—an antidote to boycotts.

ZOA Coalition has been leading battles against antisemitism since long before October 7.  We fought for and obtained the reinterpretation of the Civil Rights Act that enables Jewish students to be protected under this law.  We’ve been  leading protests on the streets; defending students and other victims of antisemitism in courts and administrative hearings; constantly defending Jews and Israel in the media; testifying at hearings; meeting with public officials; and more.

In 2024, ZOA Coalition initiated and obtained overwhelming passage of numerous important resolutions, including:

Calling for Diaspora university leadership and governments to protect Jewish and pro-Israel students;

Publicly condemning the Palestinian Authority (PA)’s “pay-to-slay” payments and terror incitement;

Opposing allowing the PA/ PLO/ Fatah to govern Gaza;

Condemning and calling for dismantling UNRWA (the UN organization that teaches Palestinian Arabs to hate and attack Jews, and whose employees participated in the October 7 atrocities);

Condemning the International Committee of the Red Cross for failing to visit and assist the hostages that Hamas terrorists kidnapped from Israel and took to Gaza;

Condemning the United Nations’ violations of its charter, anti-Israel bias and refusal to condemn Hamas’ October 7 atrocities, including sexual atrocities against women and children;

Promoting and strengthening Aliyah;

Calling for urgent Aliyah assistance to Jews facing extreme violence and the danger of extinction in India and other world communities;

Condemning Iran’s role in the October 7 atrocities and calling for holding Iran accountable;

Condemning the brutal October 7 atrocities and supporting Israel’s goals of eradicating the terrorist groups Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad; assuring that Hamas and PIJ can never attack Jews, Israelis and others again; and bringing home all remaining hostages; and

Thanking, supporting and sending love and prayers to the brave IDF soldiers and security forces, and their families; displaced Israelis; bereaved families; and the hostages and their families.

What is at stake in this election?

This election will determine whether the policies and over $1 billion in funds of Israel’s non-governmental national institutions will strengthen all of Israel and the Jewish people or weaken us.  The left is openly working to curb funding to the 800,000 Israeli Jews living over the green line, and to direct funds to their parochial interests – rather than to strengthen the entire Jewish nation.  We cannot allow this to happen.  ZOA Coalition is determined to direct funds to strengthen Israel-Judea-Samaria, assist Aliyah of Jews from endangered Diaspora communities, combat antisemitism on campuses and on the streets, and globalize Jewish safety.
